Wireless (radio) networking
Wireless networking (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and similar radio based systems) represents a serious security concern to the PeopleSoft network. This document, Workstation Security Standard, covers required and prohibited applications and services on workstations.
PeopleSoft is currently providing limited support of Wireless connectivity. For a list of wireless information and available documents, click here.
If you have a Windows 2000 system you can use infrared networking for file sharing. Infrared file sharing is a much lower security risk because of the limited range. See Eureka! document 39073 — Infrared networking for more information on infrared networking.
