How to change or reset your network password

Document number: 50001

Note: During the PEOPLESOFT migration project, you cannot change your CORP or JDEMD1 network password.

Once you migrate to the new PEOPLESOFT network domain, you will be prompted every 90 days to change your network password when you log on. You can also change your password whenever you want within the 90 days. Currently, on the CORP domain, you must change your password every 45 days and on the JDEMD1 domain every 90 days. Changing your network password will also change your Planet password (allow 30 minutes for replication.) For additional password information, click here.

As a remote user, are you properly logged onto the network?

Note: This section applies to legacy PeopleSoft employees only.

If you are  RASed into the PeopleSoft network ( i.e., using Dial-up Networking), make sure that you have RASed into the network directly from the logon screen, rather logging onto the machine locally and then dialing in. That is to ensure that your password change will work. To do that, close down all applications, then click on the Start menu, then on Sh ut Down... and then Log off username (Windows 2000). When presented with the Windows Logon Information screen, click in the box that says Logon using Dial-Up so that a checkmark appears and then click OK to dial into the network. Then follow the steps above to change your network password. This method allows your password to synch up on the local machine and the network.

Legacy J.D. Edwards users: Be sure to change your password before it expires, and you should not have synching problems.
