How to end a RAS/Dial-Up Networking session...
Note: The legacy RAS (dial-up networking) and PeopleSoft RAS Connection Manager (also known as PSRC or PSRCM) are in the process of being retired. To standardize dial-up access, the integrated PeopleSoft company is deploying iPass and VPN as the dial-up solution. To disconnect from RAS, click the operating system you are running and follow the detailed steps.
Click the Disconnect button in the Connected to... dialog box that appeared when you began the RAS session.
Alternatively, right-click the icon that appeared when your RAS session began and choose Hang up. Then choose the name of the server to which you are connected.
You should no longer be connected to the network.

You should no longer be connected to the network and the icon should no longer appear.
