Known issues with the iPass 3.20 client
The following iPass version 3.2 issues are either known issues to the vendor, or unique to the PeopleSoft environment.

802.11g wireless networks are not compatible with iPass v3.20
This is a known issue with version 3.20. At the time of development, 802.11g was not a widely used standard for wireless connectivity. iPass developers did not include support for 802.11g in version 3.20. 802.11g will be supported in future releases of the iPass client, and once deployed to PeopleSoft, 802.11g wireless network support will be available.

IBM Access Connections error messages
The IBM Access Connections software, which some users have downloaded from IBM or other third-party locations. This software uses the same driver set as the iPass client, and as a result, once iPass 3.20 is installed, the IBM Access Connections application no longer functions correctly.
The recommended resolution is to NOT use third-party connection software. The PeopleSoft provided and supported drivers are in the Software Library and available for installation on any machine with an internal wireless device that came standard with your laptop (described in Step 1, below).
If you must use the IBM Access Connection software, the workaround is to install or reinstall wireless in the following order:
Install the wireless drivers that are PeopleSoft-provided. (See Eureka! document 54204 — Wireless (WiFi) Install and Set-up for instructions.)
Reinstall the IBM Access Connections software from the source you used to originally install this software.
Your wireless access and use of the IBM Access Connections should now work. A resolution to this issue is being reviewed by PeopleSoft's IT engineering group.

Unable to access home or third-party networks
There have also been situations where users are not able to access their wireless network simply because the iPass software is running in the system tray. Once the service is terminated, wireless works. Another way to fix this is to enter the wireless SSID into iPass but most don't know about this. I found it in the help file. But I assume this will part of the wireless training.
If you see the iPass icon in your system tray (an icon like this
near the clock in the right-hand corner), close the service when you are not using iPass. To do this, right-click on the icon, and select
Exit to close the iPass connection service.
You may also enter your SSID into the . To do this:
