ERROR: Remote peer is no longer responding

This error will appear if the Cisco VPN client is unable to communicate with the Cisco VPN server:

Remote peer is no longer responding

This error will appear if either you are trying to connect from a PeopleSoft office (there is no need to use VPN from within an office connected to the corporate network.) If you are connecting from a location other than a PeopleSoft office, then click the operating system you are running for more information about this error and how to correct it:

WINDOWS NT 4.0
WINDOWS 2000

Note: You may also receive this error if you are attempting to use the Cisco VPN client from within a PeopleSoft office. It is not necessary to use VPN while in a PeopleSoft office, and for security reasons, the ability to connect has been blocked internally.
