When the Cisco VPN client was installed on your machine, a "Deterministic Network Enhancer" service was also installed. If this service becomes disabled or is uninstalled, you will be unable to use the Cisco VPN client to connect into PeopleSoft.

To reinstall the Deterministic Network Enhancer service, follow these steps:

1. Select Start, Settings, Control Panel.

2. Double click on the Network and Dial-Up Connections icon to open it

3. Double click into the Local Area Connection entry

4. A LAN Properties window opens

5. Click on the Install button.

6. Select the Service option, and click Add...

7. In the Manufacturer: section, select Deterministic Networks, and in the Network Service: section, select Deterministic Network Enhancer.

8. When the install completes, you will see the LAN Properties window, and the "Deterministic Network Enhancer" service will now be visible.

9. Click OK. The service will be reinstalled, and you are prompted to reboot your machine for the change to take effect.

Once you reboot your computer, you should now be able to connect to PeopleSoft using the Cisco VPN client.
