Responsibilities for using Wireless (WiFi) Connectivity
Support for using Wireless (WiFi) networking is limited. For details on Technical Support Operations' (TSO's) support policy relating to VPN connectivity, see Eureka! document 54201 — TSO Wireless (WiFi) Support Policy.
Wireless support is limited to supporting the installation and configuration of the PeopleSoft-provided wireless driver, client software, and ensuring the wireless connection is functioning.
You are responsible for supporting any wireless drivers, client software and troubleshooting that was installed outside of the PeopleSoft IT engineering solutions. This includes installations or configuration changes you made or were made by a non-PeopleSoft IT engineering solution (including changes by friends, peers and co-workers, customer IT or third-party technicians, etc.)
You are responsible for taking care of all connection issues to the internet, non-PeopleSoft wireless access points (i.e. customer and other private and third-party networks or access points, using wireless "hotspots," etc.)
Please see the Corporate Remote Access Policy on Planet PeopleSoft (you may need to log into Planet first to see this link). For information about other Remote Access options and support, see Eureka! document 54125 — TSO Remote Access Support Policy. For information about installing the Wi-Fi driver for approved machines, see Eureka! document 54204 — Wireless (WiFi) Install and Set-up.
