How to disconnect a mapping to a network drive

To disconnect a mapped network drive from your machine, click on your operating system and follow these steps:

 

WINDOWS NT 4
WINDOWS 2000

 

 

 


WINDOWS NT 4

  1. Right-click the My Computer icon on your Windows desktop.

  2. Click on Disconnect Network Drive... from the pop-up menu.

  3. Click on the network drive letter you wish to disconnect from the Network Drive: window. The field contains a scrollable list.

  4. Once you have highlighted the drive you wish to disconnect, click OK.

 

The drive letter should no longer be mapped to the network drive.

WINDOWS 2000

  1. Right-click the My Computer icon on your Windows desktop.

  2. Click on D isconnect Network Drive... from the pop-up menu.

  3. Click on the network drive letter you wish to disconnect from the window that appears. The window contains a scrollable list.

  4. Once you have highlighted the drive you wish to disconnect, click OK.

 

The drive letter should no longer be mapped to the network drive.
