Responsibilities for making VPN work
Support for using VPN to connect to PeopleSoft is limited. For details on Technical Support Operations' support policy relating to VPN connectivity, see Eureka! document 54125 — TSO Remote Access Support.
You must have the latest the Cisco VPN client software available from PeopleSoft installed on your machine. Do not load the software from a third party source. For instructions on loading the software, see Eureka! document 54102 — How to install the Cisco VPN Client software. If you run into a problem with a documented step, you may contact Technical Support Operations for assistance.
You must request a SecurID token for use with PeopleSoft VPN - for more information, see Eureka! document 55063 — How to request a RSA SecurID token.
You are responsible for taking care of all connection issues to the Internet. You must be able to ping the PeopleSoft VPN server BEFORE requesting help from TSO or trying to use a VPN token issued by PeopleSoft. For instructions on how to ping the server, see Eureka! document 55132 — How to ping the PeopleSoft VPN server.
