ERROR: Server\Share :\\NAM-UPDC-01\netlogon File Not found z:\pslogon\pslogon2.exe...

This is a Level B document - It contains moderately difficult end-user information.

NOTE: The PeopleSoft logon script is used to deliver critical updates and patches to your machine. This error indicates that your logon scripts are not running and that your machine is not receiving those critical updates.

The following error messages may be caused by a network drive mapped to your z: drive or a problem with your PeopleSoft network logon scripts.

Please check the Z: drive
Unmap it if is mapped and log off, log back on.
Please do NOT map the Z: drive or cause applications to do so.
Z: is RESERVED for network purposes.

Do you have PS Toolbar installed? If you are not sure, check your Start -> Programs menu. It will be in a group called TT&S Utilities. If so, please skip down to step 5.
Disconnect any network mapping you find on your z: drive. After you disconnect the Z:\ drive mapping, relog onto the network to allow your network logon scripts to run properly. For instructions on removing a drive mapping, see Eureka! document 55059 — How to disconnect a mapping to a network drive.
If removing that mapping does not work or there is no network drive mapped to your z: drive, try mapping your z: drive to a server, then removing that mapping. Any network server you have access to will do.
- To map a drive: Eureka! document 50003 — How to map a drive letter.
- To disconnect a mapping: Eureka! document 55059 — How to disconnect a mapping to a network drive.
- Reboot your machine.
If adding a drive mapping and removing it does not work, try reloading your network logon scripts. See Eureka! document 55021 — Reload network logon scripts using PNU Control.
If you have PS Toolbar already installed, there is a workaround that will resolve the error. HOWEVER, the workaround may prevent you from joining PeopleSoft Enterprise Webcast sessions (For more information about Enterprise Webcast, see the Eureka! list of documents.) Click here for detailed steps. If you do not have PS Toolbar installed, please move on to the next step.
If none of these steps works, contact Technical Support Operations. Let them know what you have done so far.

PS Toolbar installed

NOTE: This resolution is NOT supported by Technical Support Operations (TSO). The TSO-supported resolution at this time to this issue is to request a rebuild of your machine, and then not reloading PS Toolbar. The actual cause of the error is not PS Toolbar itself, but PSInstall Assistant which is part of PS Toolbar. PSInstall Assistant requires Windows Scripting Host 5.6. That is why not ALL PS Toolbar installations have this problem. Currently, the Tools team is looking at how to move PSInstall Assistant off Windows Scripting Host 5.6.

WARNING: Installing Windows Scripting Host version 5.6 on a standard PeopleSoft machine has been known to prevent users from joining Enterprise Webcast meetings. If you need to view Enterprise Webcast meetings, you will need to reinstall Windows Scripting Host version 5.1. Click here for more instructions.

If you have PS Toolbar installed, the Z: drive error above can be resolved by loading Windows Scripting Host version 5.6 (see URL below). The PeopleSoft standard and supported Windows Scripting Host version is 5.1. If after your run the Windows Scripting Host version 5.6 installation, you need to revert to Windows Scripting Host version 5.1, click here for instructions.

Reinstall Windows Scripting Host version 5.1

To reinstall Windows Scripting Host version 5.1, follow these steps:

Open Lotus Notes, then open the Software Library by clicking the bookmark link.

You may need to look in your databases folder for the Software library bookmark .

If you don't have the Software Library bookmark see Eureka! document 16250 — How to add the Software Library database link to Lotus Notes for instructions on installing the Software library bookmark.
Click the Standard Software Package Installs icon.
Scroll until you see the entry Interwise and double click on it to open it.
Scroll down the Interwise page until you see a collapsed section titled Interwise Participant Fix.
Click on that title to open the collapsed section.
Follow the instructions on the screen to install the fix.
If your machine does not reboot automatically, please reboot it.

Windows Scripting Host version 5.1 should be reinstalled on your machine.
