Getting a list of toll-free numbers - want a local number

If you are getting a list of toll-free numbers instead of a PeopleSoft local number, double check your area code and phone number. If that information is correct, it is all right to choose a toll-free number from the list provided.

You may also want to check to see if your state has a special local number you could use in lieu of the toll free number generated by PS RAS Connection Manager. To check for those local numbers, follow these steps:

Click on the State or Province: field to see if your state appears on the list.

If your state appears, choose it by clicking on it.

In the Access numbers: box, you will see a list of available local numbers. NOTE: YOU will need to determine whether calling this number will generate a toll fee. If you are not sure, contact your local phone company.

If you see a local number you can use, double click on it so that the number appears in the Access numbers: field on the left side of the screen in blue numbers. Here's an example of how your screen should look after you choose the local number in Arizona. Remember, YOU will need to determine whether calling this number will generate a toll fee.

We will be adding more local number sites and more telephone exchanges (prefixes) into the database on a regular basis, so please try using PS RAS Connection again in the future to see if a local number is provided.
