The following scheduled phased approach will be implemented for the retirement of personal network shared drives commonly called H: or M: drives.

• Phase 1 – Install Connected Backup on all PeopleSoft machines. If you do not have the software installed, see Eureka! document 15389 — How to request Connected Backup software.

  • Dates: In process currently.

• Phase 2 – All permissions on personal network share drives will start to be set to READ ONLY and drives deleted from network.
  • READONLY status starting July 20, 2004.
    • "READ ONLY" means that you can copy the data FROM the drive and delete files, but you cannot write TO that drive.
  • Drive decommission and data deletions starting October 12, 2004.

 

Remember, as stated in the PeopleSoft IT Acceptable use policy that while PeopleSoft desires to provide a reasonable level of privacy, users should be aware that all voice and data created on or traveling across the corporate systems is and remains the property of PeopleSoft ( click here to see the Policy.)
