N: and P: drives do not map when I RAS or VPN in to the network
The difficulty you are experiencing is that your N: and P: drives do not map when you log into the PeopleSoft network via RAS or VPN, but does map on the same machine when you log directly into the network. Your N: and P: drives are needed to use or load software from the PeopleSoft network
Explanation/Solution:
Checking the box allows your N: and P: drives to map properly and will fully authenticate you on the network. Also, you will receive any warnings about your network password expiration.
If your N: and P: drives never map, whether you are connected directly to the network in the office or not, see Eureka! document 55021 — Reload network logon scripts using PNU Control.
