To find the current IP address of your computer when you are connected directly to the network via the LAN (in a PeopleSoft office) or over RAS, follow these steps:

1. Open a DOS window.

   • To open a DOS window, click on the Start menu, the on Programs, then Accessories, and finally Command Prompt.

2. Type ipconfig at the DOS prompt.

Your IP Address is identified on the screen.

• If you are connected via the LAN, you should have an IP Address as the second line under "Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection".
• If you are connected via RAS, you should have an IP Address as the second line under "PPP adapter...".
