Local Adminstrator Password
PeopleSoft policy forbids revealing the local "Administrator" password outside a specific employee group. At this time logging in as the user called "Administrator" must be done by Technical Support Operations or Field Operations, or under their direction.
All users should have administrator rights on the machine issued to them without needing to log in as "Administrator."
If the machine is properly issued to you and assetted to you then you should be a local administrator and your network logon should provide you sufficient access rights. To check to see if you are administrator see Eureka! document 69064 — How to determine if you are an administrator on a machine.
If you need to be added as administrator make an appointment for service by opening a NorthStar Ticket. Be sure to leave a contact number and describe the problem. You will be contacted by the appropriate party. To open a NorthStar Ticket, click here or see document 70001 — How to create a service request in NorthStar.
