PIA Changes for Active Directory Migration

Document number: 69093

The Active Directory migration tool does not change the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture (PIA) Tools Query configurations that may specify corp.peoplesoft.com. These settings have to be manually adjusted from within the PIA menu structure by the appropriate user who has that level of system access. Workstations with local PeopleSoft applications may need their PIA adjusted on the next reboot. For servers, provided that duplicate Static DNS entries are in place, no immediate change is needed but PIA should be updated by August 15, 2004. The server should be rebooted within 30 days of the initial migration.

A duplicate Static DNS entry means having one static entry for <server>.peoplesoft.com and another for <server>.corp.peoplesoft.com.
