Can't Log Into the PeopleSoft Domain to Migrate
There are two primary things you need to do to successfully migrate:
(1) make sure the migration tool has been run on your machine.
(2) make a direct network connection
These two things will solve the problem 90% of the time.
Check if the migration tool has been run, if not, run it.
Search your machine for the file vmover.bat
If you find it, you are ready to make the direct network connection.
If you don't find it:
Log in to the machine using your original domain account (JDEMD1 or CORP)
Open My Computer
In the address bar
Double-click on the VM or VM.bat file to run the process which will appear as a black Command Prompt window.
The problem you are having is most likely caused because you have no cached credentials on the PeopleSoft domain. That occurs because you don't log directly into the network. Instead you log into the machine, then VPN then get onto the network. To correct your problem you will need to make at least one direct connection to the network.
There are three ways to make a direct network connection:
The most reliable way to resolve the problem is to come into an office and log in. That solution works 99% of the time and requires no reconfiguration on your part. We understand that this isn't always the solution most useable by a particular individual.
Configure your VPN to connect from the logon screen. http://eureka.peoplesoft.com/html/54119.htm
Use a dial-up (RAS) connection to dial in from the logon screen.

The steps above should allow you to log into the PEOPLESOFT domain. If you have further problems see the list of Migration documents or the Domain Migration FAQ. If those documents do not help you resolve your problem please log a ticket through NorthStar. In the ticket include the following information (1) the method you used to connect directly to the network (2) whether you found the file vmover.txt on your machine (3) your machine name (See 55002 — How to find out your computer's name) (4) the text of any error messages and (5) any further information that describes the problem.
