How to order a PeopleSoft computer backpack
If you want a PeopleSoft computer knapsack for your own personal use, you can order one through the PeopleStore online.
To order a computer shoulder bag in lieu of a backpack, you must ask for your manager's approval and then fill out a Purchase Requisition for one. For more information about how to create a purchase requisition, see Eureka! document 17202 — How to enter a new requisition using eProcurement.
If your PeopleSoft computer backpack is defective when you receive the computer, please open a NorthStar ticket. Please specify in the ticket that the backpack was defective on receipt.
If your PeopleSoft computer backpack is worn out from every day use, you may request a new one:
Employees based in the United States must order the backpack from the Peripherals Ordering website. Click here for information on accessing the Peripherals Ordering website to order these items. (The website is not yet available for use by employees based outside the U.S.)
Ordering a backpack if you are an employee OUTSIDE the United States
Follow these steps to open a ticket to order a new PeopleSoft backpack if you are located OUTSIDE the United States:
Launch NorthStar and log in, if necessary. For more information about launching NorthStar, see Eureka! document 70001 — How to create a ticket in Northstar.
On the left side of the screen, click on the Log Service Ticket link.
On the contact screen, make sure the information is current and indicate how you would like to be contacted if there are any questions (the default is by phone, based on your internal phone number in the PeoplePeople Directory.)
Click Next.
Choose Workstation and click Next.
Choose Request Peripheral (Non-US Only) and click Next.
In the drop-down list next to What type of hardware peripheral do you need? choose PeopleSoft Backpack.
Fill in the other required fields (labeled in red text).
Please specify the address of a PeopleSoft office. Your department may be charged for the delivery charges.
Click Next.
From the Current Asset Number drop-down list, choose the machine for which the backpack is being ordered.
Click Finish.
You will be contacted when the backpack is available for shipment or pickup.
