Workstation Technologies and Client Management Services have worked hard to provide PeoplePeople with ‘the best of best’ hardware to assist you in performing your job function. PeopleSoft laptops and workstations are fully kitted with all of the necessary equipment to get you up and running from the start. The equipment included in your kit is considered Standard Issue, and is fully supported. We do however realize that there may be the occasional need for additional equipment. This document covers the most commonly requested peripherals and extras.

Note: While we would love to certify ALL hardware available on the market, we realize that is an impossible task. So we've taken a stab at some different hardware alternatives we think PeoplePeople may find useful. Please bear in mind that this equipment has been tested successfully in our environment, but as Non Standard hardware it cannot be officially supported.

A note regarding ergonomic hardware options: Listed below are several options for mice/trackballs and ‘naturally’shaped keyboards. These are simply models that we have tested in our environment, and have worked successfully. If you need specific hardware to fulfill ergonomic needs you should visit the Offices & Facilities site (you may be prompted to log in to Planet PeopleSoft) for an ergonomic evaluation. Mice and keyboards come in many different shapes and sizes, and we cannot certify them all. Generally, all PS/2 devices will work across the board. For something as important as an input device, you may wish to shop computer stores and try different models first hand.

Client Management Services will have stock of certain items. If they are available from PeopleSoft stock, you can order via a NorthStar request.
