Video conferencing bridging ** Using an external bridge when connecting more than 4 locations
The Polycom video conferencing equipment installed throughout PeopleSoft globally is capable of connecting up to 4 locations (including the originating location). When the need arises for connecting more than a total of 4 sites, an external bridge will need to be used for connectivity. The bridge will dial out to each of the locations. You will need to provide the video conferencing number for each location you will be connecting to. It is strongly recommended that the reservation be made no less than 48 hours in advance. The bridge will perform a test call to each site to ensure connectivity and will help trouble shoot any problems there may be.
PeopleSoft has contracted with Wire One. To make a reservation, dial 888-321-8439. Using the external bridge is quite costly, especially when connecting international sites. The charges are billed back at the department level.
