How to receive voice mail notifications on a cell phone

Document number: 86038

Notification of voice mail messages can be forwarded to a cell phone if the number is in either the 209, 408, 415, 510, 916 or 925 area codes in the San Francisco Bay Area or in the 303, 720, 800, 888, 877, 866 area codes in the Denver area. Cell phones not in these area codes are not eligible for the notification feature.

Note: Receiving voice mail notifications to a cell phone that is in an area code that is different than the area code of the voice mail number can only be done if the call to the cell phone is a local call.

Receiving voice mail message notifications is a two-step process: the cell phone must first be enabled and then the forwarding schedule set up.
