How to verify your Lotus Notes ID license type

Document number: 16061

There are two types of licenses used when Lotus Notes ID's are created - North American or International.  The type of license used when the ID is created is determined by the location of the user.

If you move to a different location at PeopleSoft, you may find that the license used to create your Lotus Notes ID is no longer appropriate.

For information on how to find out which license was used to create your Lotus Notes ID, click here.

If your ID does not match your location - if you are in North America but your ID has an International license or if you are in an International location but your ID has a North American license - contact Technical Support Operations for further assistance.

To find out which license was used to create your Lotus Notes ID:

  1. Select File from the menu bar in Lotus Notes.

  2. Select Tools from the drop down menu and select User ID... from the next drop down menu.

  3. Enter your Lotus Notes password when prompted and click OK.

  4. The license type used for your Lotus Notes ID can be found on the Basics screen (the default) in the Security: field.

  5. Click OK to close the User ID window.

If your ID does not match your location - if you are in North America but your ID has an International license or if you are in an International location but your ID has a North American license - contact Technical Support Operations for further assistance.
