Symptoms:

The following error appears while in a Knowledge Center Skills or Seminar OnDemand course:

Error reading the Authorware Web Player map file.

Invalid file version.

Cause:

Skills/Seminar OnDemand courses now require that you have the Authorware 6.5 Player installed on your computer.

Resolution:

To resolve this issue, follow the instructions below:

1. Click the following link to access Knowledge Center's Authorware installation page: http://www.knowledgecenter.peoplesoft.com/af/peoplesoft/my/Prep/webplayertestskills.html

2. Follow the instructions on the site to install Authorware 6.5 and test the installation.

3. If this does not resolve the error, click the appropriate link for your browser (below):

For Internet Explorer: http://kc.peoplesoft.com/af/peoplesoft/my/help/Prep_authorie.html

For Netscape: http://kc.peoplesoft.com/af/peoplesoft/my/help/Prep_authorNetScape.html

4. Follow the instructions on the site to uninstall and then reinstall Authorware.
