The information below applies to legacy J.D. Edwards machines. Information about VPN on legacy PeopleSoft machines is available here.

Before you attemt to connect using VPN ensure you have a connection to the Internet by opening your web browser and pointing to a common Internet site, such as www.cnn.com.

Once you have verified that your broadband service is connected to the Internet,

1. On your desk top double-click your VPN dialer or IPSec VPN dialer, a yellow padlock icon.

If you do not have the icon on your desktop;

1. Click Start.

2. Click Programs.

3. Click Cisco Systems VPN Client.

4. Click VPN dialer or IPSec VPN dialer.

2. In the window Cisco Systems VPN Client verify the Connection Entry is set to your region.
   Note: To select a diffrent region click the down arrow to the right and select the profile for the appropriate region.

Your choices are Americas VPN, EMEA VPN, or AsiaPac VPN.
Note: If you do not have these selections and need to imptort them, see Eureka! document 52204 — Importing connection entries into Cisco VPN.

3. Click Connect to establish a VPN session.

4. In the (user authentication) window enter your informaion.

• The Username feild will be your Network Logon (initials and AB#).

• The Password field will be your Network password.
  Note: This password must match the password you use to log onto your laptop. If it does not contact Technical Support Operations right away.

5. Click OK.

A window will show you the progress of your authentication. Once authenticated the Cisco icon will minimize in your system clock tray at the bottom right of your screen.

To disconnect.

1. Click the Padlock Icon in your system tray.

You will be presented with the Cisco Systems VPN Client Connecstion Status window

2. Click Disconnect.
