Reload network logon scripts

Document number: 55021

There are various problems that can occur due to a corrupt file in your network logon script files. The most common problem is that the network logon scripts don't run properly and your N: and P: drives do not map to the correct directories. To correct this problem you need to reload your network logon files and re-log on to the network. New files will be added when you relog on:

  1. Close down other running applications on your machine.

  2. Launch My Computer by clicking on its icon on the Windows desktop.

  3. Navigate to the c:\ps\pplnetup folder.

  4. Double-click on the pplnetup folder to open it.

  5. Press { Ctrl}{ A}. All the files will be highlighted.
    • Note: DO NOT delete the directory itself, just the files inside.

  6. Press the { Delete} key.

  7. Relog onto the network. Click on the Start menu and select Log off username.

When you log into the network again, your network logon script directory will be repopulated with files. This may take a bit of time, so please be patient. The error message or problem should no longer occur once the files are reloaded.

If you are still experiencing problems, please contact Technical Support Operations.
